Meh there might be a thread like this but whatever.
I was wondering if TWW wanted to share some of their family's odd Christmas traditions. Most of ours are food related.
The only one really worth mentioning is that every Christmas morning we have homemade biscuits, fried liver pudding, fried mullet roe (ugh ugh ugh) and Bloody Marys. 12/25/2010 2:49:56 PM |

my family uses real candles on the tree the whole family (minus one person setting up) lines up by height or age in a room until the living room is set up we all come out, sit down, and listen to one of the men read a specific passage from the bible (used to be my grandfather, RIP) everyone gets to pick a carol for us to sing we extinguish the candles and exchange gifts all of this happens on christmas eve
christmas morning, we eat breakfast which includes bishop's bread and stollen 12/25/2010 2:55:38 PM |

We don't have anything of interest really but my gf's parents gave me some really nice Shun knives and she said that since it's bad luck to give knives as presents I had to "buy" them from her with some pocket change
Never heard of that but I got a couple Shun knives for $.50 so I'm happy as hell

^Holyshit, if they're "normal" shun knives and you got 3-4 that could be 300-400 dollars right there. A set of 4-5 is normally $500. 12/25/2010 2:58:27 PM |
