All but snowed in at the in-laws in fuquay. Google is useless short of pulling up varina sports bar. Any suggestions of someplace with the NFL package and decent atmosphere?

Honestly, your best bet might be applebees.

The closest thing I can think of that is a good atmosphere would be My Way Tavern or Bass Lake Ale house in Holly Springs (both of them). That would be quite a hike away

I think there's another bar 'downtown' in Varina (Right near the Varina Sports Bar....which I've heard is a sketchy biker bar now). I've never been to any of them, however. IIRC, there's some type of watering hole across from Aviator Brewing Company right there downtown, but it doesn't ever appear to be a happening place when I drive by it. Not sure how their atmosphere, TV watchability, etc is.

^ I've been there...meh.

I had about 3 or 4 of their beers and didn' think they were very good. Most of what they make are IPA's, which I hate, so they might be OK. I drank one or two of thier lagers, a brown ale, and I think they even had a stout. Wasn't terrible, but wasnt great either in my opinion

Yeah, I guess you have to like their beers for it to be good. I've always enjoyed going there though, the bartender let me open a tab without a card or anything, its pretty relaxed in there (and less applicable now, but they've got an awesome patio). There is also a pizza place that delivers there.

I'll admit that for freakin Fuquay-Varina to a have a microbrewery right downtown is pretty cool. It's a neat place...only been there a few times, though

there's a Bass Lake Draft House.. dunno if that counts as Fuquay, I've only been there once, not sure exactly where it is.
