i've given up going out for steak

so much cheaper and more delicious to take matters into your own hands as far as that is concerned, imo

though i've always been curious to try the Gentleman's Steak Dinner at capital club

I would grill my own but I'm in an apt and it's cold out

may i suggest a cast iron skillet? on occasion, i prefer it to grilling anyhow. i completely ripped off the AB method, but it works wonders.

oh right

well then, i got nothing besides OMG ANGus BARN LOL

I don't know, I've been digging on Capital Club lately. Small menu, but delicious. Like I said, I haven't tried their steak yet, but I bet it's good.

By Raleigh, I'm assuming that you mean Norfolk, VA

In that case, I would suggest Magnolia Steakhouse on Colley Ave. Closed, apparently.
I would have suggested The Grate Steak, where you buy the meat raw, and then cook it yourself over an openface grill. But the last time I went there, I saw roaches swimming around in the butter.

haha, it was awesome, actually

order a big fat NY strip.
go hit up the salad bar
when you finish your salad, they bring your steak to you on a plate, raw

then you scurry over to the grill, throw some seasonings on the steak, throw it on the grill
butter some bread, throw it on the grill
pull a potato out of the bin, and throw it on the grill
.
..
...
Pull your food off the grill, plate it up. Walk over to the fixin' table, brush the roaches aside, and doll up your potato
...
..
.
get back to your table
nom nom nom

was the tater already cooked and you just warmed it up? usually takes forever to cook a tater on the grill.

My bro and SIL love vinnie's (six forks) for steak/pasta combo. They get one of each and split it. I've never been there, but they rave about it.

Sullivan's is always good.
I was also surprised at how good McCormick and Schmick's steaks were.

+1. Probably one of the last things I'd ever order there but I'm sure it was tasty.

Sitti's pepper fillet is one of my favorite steaks in Raleigh. Pasta- honestly, everywhere I have been has been about the same. Good, but not great...

The Peddler on Glenwood up from Crabtree is amazing. Salad bar is the tits and they have the best prime rib I've ever had. You'll feel old as fuck eating there though.

Angus Barn's prime rib is better than their steak imo. It is delicious. They had it at our company Christmas party and everyone om nom nom'd it.
