Like it says, I just found out my mom is getting remarried this coming tuesday. Less than a week after my parents divorce went through. Getting married to a drunk, abusive, idiot I refuse to have anything to do with. Long story, but I havent spoke with her since thanksgiving '09.

sorry to hear that dude.... so how come you haven't spoken to your mom for over a year, if they just got divorced now? was she having an affair?

anyway, as long as he doesn't abuse her, that's her business who she wants to marry, no matter how much it hurts you and your dad. even if he does abuse/hit her, i am afraid you or anybody else won't be able to do much to help, unless she leaves him herself.

spend more time with family you still haven't 'lost'.

yea i've been trying to keep in contact with the dad. Right now its just him, my grandma, and one of my 3 brothers that im still in contact with. Def had a huge toll on the fam


but atleast we're done with the holidays. i hate that time of the year

Sorry to hear that. My 'rents did the whole, wait until the kids go off to college to get divorced thing. It sucks, but eventually its over and not weighing on you as much. Just takes time. Just stay close with the family members you can, and take breaks from your family when you need to, and you'll get through it.
