I'm leaving town in a week and I need someone to sublease my apartment from January-June at least. 1 bedroom in 3 bedroom apartment at village green. It's fully furnished, all you need to bring is a bed. Rent is 479 (everything included) but i'd be willing to negotiate. The apartment complex has pool, gym, basketball court, volleyball court, free tanning, computer lab, pet friendly, bus to NCSU campus, cable, and internet. Each room has own bathroom and mini fridge. Only catch... I have one wall in my room painted NC state red.

I had someone lined up to sublease the apartment but she's a fruitnut and backed out the day after she started moving stuff in, now i'm screwed.

I'd say offer to knock $100-$179 (what a strange rent amount, btw, $479?) off since the new person will only be there for 6 months. And it's a sublease, make sure that's okay with the landlord.

Try posting on craigslist -- and make sure the other roommates are cool with the new person, since they'll have to deal with him/her.

The fruitnut subleaser who backed out on me was my roommates' friend. I turned others down for her to appease my roommates. I'm kind of done with that now.

If anyone knows of anyone who needs a place to stay, here's a great time to put your networking skills to use. I kind of got screwed over, and now it will take a miracle for me to find someone who wants to sublease

^^ My point was that you should SAY how much you'll negotiate down. If I was looking for a place to sublease, I'd want to know all the details (sq ft for one; pics for another). Don't tell me you'll negotiate. Tell me what you WANT me to pay -- REASONABLY.

As I said, try posting on craigslist or other places. Hell, put up a flyer in Talley.
