i don't know of any but why take a 400-level at all if you don't need it or aren't a major 1/12/2011 8:53:49 PM |

I am trying to raise my overall GPA in graduate school. I am doing a non-thesis base and I can take up to four classes at the 400 level not in my major which is engineering. 1/12/2011 9:24:29 PM |

GIS 410/510 was a great class to take. The A isn't necessarily "easy," it does require some work (approximately 8-10 hours a week, depending on the week and your proficiency with the computer software), but the first half of the class walks you through assignments step-by-step, and it becomes almost second nature as you progress through the class after they let go of your hand a little. However, I felt I learned a lot from this class and could potentially use it anywhere I can land a job.
Edit: I should also say that an A in this class is pretty easily obtainable as long as you do the work required. The people I knew in this class that didn't get an A either slacked off on the midterm or final, or just didn't do an assignment. The TA's that actually grade your work are pretty lenient and will give you full credit for logical effort.

I dont have to justify it since I already asked and my advisor told me to take whatever I want. 1/13/2011 3:24:53 PM |

well most 400 classes have prerequisites , the ones that don't are obviously easier 1/13/2011 4:57:15 PM |

PEC 477 (Coaching concepts). I imagine it would look pretty weird on your transcript, but its a joke of a class. 1/13/2011 7:00:08 PM |

They are essentially the same class, it's really a combined section course. However, the 510 section has to do two extra, but very minor, homework assignments throughout the semester. Both didn't require much time, maybe 45 minutes to an hour to do. Worth the time if you need a Graduate level class.1/18/2011 8:32:15 PM |

Ill look into that one. Anybody know of anything math related or just kind of technical that could be useful with a civil engineering degree. I was thinking of some business classes. I took GC496E already it was like an autocad course easy A if anyone needs it. Anyone took MA405? What did you think about the difficulty of the work? 1/18/2011 10:42:17 PM |

I only took four 400 level courses back in undergrad, and I think this one was probably the easiest even though it was outside of my major. If I recall correctly it had some ancient mythology, philosophy, and a lot of battles/wars stuff too. If you're into movies like 300 or Clash of the Titans and all that, you'd probably like this class.1/19/2011 12:14:33 AM |
