If you care to venture over to Cary, check out Hotpoint on Buck Jones Road. Their food is awesome, and I've heard good things about their Cuban. 1/12/2011 11:52:03 PM |

jax's was pretty good
better than mitch's was (mitch's sammichs are typically too dry for me though), but that is no longer an option. I haven't tried it anywhere else. I am interested in where this thread might go though! 1/12/2011 11:53:15 PM |

The shredded lettuce they use at Boondini's is fucking amazing. You wouldn't think lettuce could be notable, but it fucking is. 1/13/2011 12:04:18 AM |

I have a serious problem not ordering the nachos and burger at the Times but I'm headed there next week so I'm gonna branch out a bit and try the Cuban.

I thought cubans were supposed to have pressed flat bread... how can they have too much bread if that is the case? (admittedly, I've only had nachos and other app's there so I don't know how they do their sammiches) 1/19/2011 9:06:44 AM |

There is a new joint opening in downtown Durham called Old Havana Sandwich Shop that is supposed to specialize in Cuban Sandwiches. Opens tomorrow, according to their Twitter feed--hoping to try it out in the next couple of weekends. 1/19/2011 10:42:13 AM |
