One of the adoptable dogs was a total baby princess with a fake pearl necklace. She made best buds with a tiny four-month-old Shih-Tzon and they curled up in a dog bed. Too sweet

^and for what it's worth, the "aggressive" and "bite and hold" comes from the terrier side of the breading... and that only comes out in dogs that are worked that way. I've never come across a pitty that does this, then again, I don't hang around dog fighters. guns are dangerous too when you put them in the wrong hands- i bet you want those banned too

pitbulls are great dogs..they get a shitty name bc fucking losers fight them... they are intelligent and do whatever their owner wants...if the owner trains it to fight, then it does..if the owner trains it to be a behaved dog, then it will...my blue pit has never been aggressive and gets along well with all dogs, cats, children, etc...and in actuality, chows are more aggressive towards humans..

I've worked at a few vet clinics. Only ever been bitten once. Wasn't by a pit. Never met a pit at work that wasn't sweet.

Owners should be very carful of their pits. The pit haters think that they are killer beasts that are unpredictable and very dangerous. The pit lovers think that they are sweet dogs that are only brought to fight and become aggressive because of irresponsible owners.

The reality is somewhere in the middle.

I'd rather we eliminate Chows than Pit Bulls. If someone's pit bull goes berzerk and you kill it, no one will think twice. I hate bloodhounds because of that god-awful sound they make. However, no one trains them to fight because there are other breeds with much better killing instincts - namely pit bulls, rottweilers, german shepherds, and dobermans. Of those breeds, pit bulls somehow always end up in the hands of ghetto trash, with rottweilers being their second choice.
