I downloaded this shit program from NC State and I'm trying to replace it, but it keeps asking me for the uninstall password... I didn't enter any fucking password when I installed it... does anyone know the default?

"HKLM\software\intel\landesk\virusprotect6\currentversion\administratoronly\security

take a look at that key you will see one called UseVPUninstallPassword .. w/ a value of 1. change that to a 0 and try uninstalling. should work."

THIS PROGRAM IS TEH DEBIL.

It's on my work laptop and scans every thursday (ALL FREAKING DAY).

It uses approximately 80~ of my system resources and completely renders my laptop useless for almost the entire day.

click start
type "regedit"
navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" aka HKLM
then to \software\intel\landesk\virusprotect6\currentversion\administratoronly\security

I remember a similar level of pain when trying to uninstall the Symantec Corporate Edition that I got from IU back in 2003.

the only part of the program i can find left on my computer is the "uninstall" option in "remove a program."

When i click it, it still asks for a password (trend no work)... anyone know where i can delete that manually?
