If anybody is looking for a fun, but relaxed bar you should definitely check out The Hive @ The Busy Bee downtown. Its on South Wilmington street and they have really great drink specials all the time. One of the best drink nights is every fucking night they have a $2 Miller High Life can. There is also really great live music sometimes. They even have a open bluegrass jam every 2nd and 4th Monday if you like that kind of thing too. There really is a good variety, being in college the drink specials are right up my alley. So if your looking for a fun, cool bar go to THE HIVE @ THE BUSY BEE.

I went to the Busy Bee Hive for the first and only time during Xmas break when I was in Raleigh and it completely sucked. $2 for High Life, every other beer was $5+. I'm not gonna spend $5 or more on a beer at a shitty bar. The atmosphere was lame, took forever to get a beer if you're a guy, despite the fact there weren't many people there. The exposed brick was cool I suppose.

The biggest issue with The Hive is that the music is way too loud. Like, it's all well and good that it's loud on the "dance floor", I get that, but the fact that it's a bitch to have a conversation anywhere indoors is ridiculous.

Though this leads to another issue in that the bartender who is always at the part of the bar furthest away from the dance floor is quite possibly the worst bartender I've had in Raleigh.
