Yep

Since fishing is just beer drinking and waiting for a bite... Ice fishing is the ultimate, more time to drink beer since you don't have to move the pole and 5 times the poles in the water so more bites to catch fish with.

Its win/win... and i miss it.

Not to mention the fish are super fresh because the freeze as soon as they come out of the water.

But it's fucking COLD!

Although the rods for ice fishing are cute.

it just seems like so much work. You gotta have a damn sled to pull everything out there, and then you gotta set up your shelter, then you gotta work the auger to cut the hole. Good luck if you don't have an electric auger. Then if you picked the wrong spot for the hole you gotta pack it all up and move a few hundred feet and set it all up again and cut another hole.

Plus it's cold.

You aren't usually cold of you have a hut. We had a hut with three hammocks and a heater just go lounge, drink heavily, and do some fishing in between.

i would be too freaked out that the ice would break, cutting holes and heating the ice that you're standing on just sounds like a bad idea, although i'm sure its perfectly fine it would still freak me out the entire time

When the ice is 3+ ft thick it isn't a problem.

Lol most oo the time you can drive clear across the lake where I used to go in the glacier lakes of new york.

Your little heater isn't. Gonna do shit to a few feet of ice.
