Anytime I've had to ask a SO to buy them for me it's a "Hey I'm going to the grocery store, do you need anything?"

"Yeah can you grab some tampons for me?"

I've never asked them to make a special trip for me. But then again I rarely have a period anyway, haven't had one since May, so it doesn't really matter.

its not like i have NONE and ask him to go out...
if codys going to the store and i know i need another box i'll ask him to pick some up for me, according to ggmon he will not pick them up and make his SO go to the store to get them herself.

and for the second quote, i took codys car to the gym on sunday (it was in the back) and he asked me to fill it up for the same reasons you listed and i did. but according to ggmoni should have came ack gave him the keys and told him to do it

I'll admit, I sometimes forget to buy more until that time comes then I'll all DAMMIT but I somehow always find at least one in one of my purses, gym bags, etc, and came make it to the store.

Anyway, my stepdad bought me some once when I was in high school. I had cramps so bad I was literally passing out, so he went and got them. According to GGMon, he should turn in his man card and I should have just passed out at the store buying my own.

or what if you don't live in the same city and you come to visit your SO and forget to pack some necessary items and they are out and about why can't you call them and be like "hey i need some tampons or else i will bleed all over your room"

it seems normal to me.

i don't really see it as like, "omg tampons!!!!1111" i see it just like joie is saying. if i'm out and he needs something and calls me to grab it, i do. if he's out and i need something, he grabs it. what the item is seems irrelevant to me, really. i mean if i'm sitting there on the couch like "GO RIGHT NOW AND GET ME CHOCOLATE, CHEESE PUFFS AND TAMPONS" then maybe that'd be a different story.

and like ^ i am also sometimes forgetful though can usually find one in my purse/gymbag/schoolbag and can make it to the store, but if someone is already out then....i don't get the issue in asking. or if it is a true emergency situation and a spare cannot be found. but that is a rare, rare situation. anyway, again there are several reasonable circumstances where the SO buying tampons could occur.
