breathe right strips only work if the snoring is from the nasal passages.

was she sleeping with her head on a pillow? if the trachea is pinched from an odd head angle, the simple solution is to remove the pillow (or move it enough to change the angle of the trachea). this will straighten out the windpipe and allow for free flow of air and should eliminate snoring. I had a roommate in college who snored louder than anyone I've heard, and this trick solved it every time. this is also what those mouthpieces do - they adjust the jaw to impose a more open trachea on the wearer.

even if they wake up from the pillow move, they'll just roll right back over unless they're the lightest sleeper in the world
