Looking forward to the season starting. Offense should be down a bit with the Poulks and Kyle Wilson gone, but the pitching should be improved since most of the staff last year was Freshmen and Sophomores.

^He might get a chance with the Yankees this year. Likely to start at AAA Scranton-Wilkes-Barre.

^^They installed a new rule this making the bats less powerful and balls are supposed to not jump as much off them.

As for the team, I don't know if they will be improved. We lost Buchanan and Sogard in the rotation. Kyle Wilson/Dallas Poulk/Drew Poulk were the 1-2-3 hitters plus RW is gone. That's 5 big pieces. Mazzoni should be solid as the ace and the bullpen looks ok with Sasser.

Made it onto the Yankee roster by the end of last year. Should be back with the team this year as long as he doesn't fall off, but he'll probably start off in Scranton. I want to try to get up to see him start in Scranton or NY this year.

We actually played Elon twice. The first game was away early in the season and we won. Elon will be good, but hopefully we are better out of the gate. Getting a open weekend sweep, with the away win, would be great for our early season RPI. But of course first things first, beat Elon tomorrow.

Im excited about the Coastal game next weekend. Should be a good measuring stick as to how good we are and possibly a little payback for the ass-whoopin we took down there in the 1st round last year.

What ass-whoopin are you referring to at the hands of Coastal? We lost to them 6-3 last season's Baseball at the Beach and then the regional we lost 9-6 to College of Charleston and then 6-2 to Stony Brook.

Milkboner You are correct that we played Elon only once last season. Two seasons ago we played Elon twice (away and then home) with the visitor winning each game.

There were occasional replays shown. I don't remember seeing a replay after every play or even more than 1 replay in an entire inning.
