my roommate and i adopted an 8yo cat last September and we've had a hard time finding toys that he likes

i finally bought him a little 'wand' toy that has a green fish-looking thing on the end of a string with feathers and a bell and he LOVED it (emphasis on the 'loved' part)

yesterday we were playing and i wrapped the string around his tail (he has enjoyed this with one previous toy) however he started going nuts and chasing himself around and around and then darted away underneath a bed for a long time

today, he actually brought the toy out from under the bed and laid it at my feet which is what he does when he wants us to play with him, but i tried to play as usual and now he runs away from it and is very skiddish about us petting him or playing with any of his other toys

WHAT DO I DO?

I thought you wrapped it too tight around the tail causing the scarring you mentioned in the thread title lol

you should buy the cat a friend, name it kyle, and have neither of them play with you.

has their been any resolution to this travesty, or has the OP sold it to her relatives for a menu item?
