to work, class, social engagements, appointments or wherever you're expected at a given time

I left way late (7 minutes is way late when your commute is <15) but got to work just 3 minutes late.

Later I have a doctor's appointment where I will attempt to be early even though I know they won't see me until ~15 minutes after my appointed time. Then I have a reception to go to after work and am debating showing up late to avoid that awkward nobody's here yet feeling. Alternately, I could get there on time and have first dibs on the appetizers.

Given that I don't miss meetings, deadlines, etc... there is no "on time". We just come in when we want, and leave when we want. As long as we get our damn work done.

They treat engineering like a black box here. They don't really care how/when we get our work done. We have a result to produce, and as long as we are producing that result, there's no real reason to ask about the mechanics

I am already going to be late for work, I just made a drs appt for 11:45 and am due at work at 12:00.

My work is kind of on my sh** list for jacking my whole commission check last month and dragging me in sick on Sunday so I am not to worried about inconveniencing them at the moment.
