Anybody out there have this? Has it proven to be "worth it"? I'm going to begin pursuing mine later this week, so just wondering what your experience / expertise is. Thanks!

IBT PIMP Certification comments

To me, it's more of a resume badge than an indicator of competency (as the vast majority of certifications tend to be). It definitely can't hurt you, especially if your employer is paying for it.

Yeah, my employer is paying for it, so I figured why not.

^That's what I've been calling it.

It's good for job mobility, and if you're in program management type work. I've been going to PMI meetings and am pursuing a PhD in project management, but don't plan to actively pursue PMP. My company has a decent internal certification program that meets my current career needs, and the PMP continuing education requirements are higher than what I need for my PE. As such, I'm taking the position that I'm an engineer first and I won't do PMP unless my boss specifically tells me I need to.
