It's not like she'd be mad now, but the ski is in my workshop for the winter and it would be a weird conversation to say "Hey remember last summer, well I bought a sweet jet ski back then! Want to see it?"

Last summer/fall she saw it a few times and just didn't notice that it was a new one. I didn't actually hide it from her or anything.

Well, it's a stand up ski that I bought just to jump waves. Only one person can ride it at a time and I don't think she'd want to take it out solo.

She knew about my 2-seater ski and I did tell her when I picked up another stand up as a winter project a couple months ago. This one just hasn't come up in conversation yet.

I keep it at Lake Gaston in the summer. She went there a few times after I bought it, but just didn't pay attention to it since it parked next to my boat, my dad's boat, and my dad's ski.

Now it's in the workshop at my house here in Raleigh and she rarely goes in there.

Well, it kind of was a secret last summer when we were going through a rough patch. She was unemployed at the time which was creating a lot of stress. My finances are in order and it was no problem for me to buy it, but it was just bad timing to bring it up and we had more important things to discuss.

It has been out of sight/out of mind since I winterized it and put it on a stand in the workshop. I'll have to work it into conversation or ask her to help me move something in the workshop now that you guys have me thinking about it.
