I don't fully understand how someone would find out that dried slow loris eyeballs are pleasant to smoke. There are a lot of steps between "hey, look at this cute little thing" and that I don't think I can wrap my mind around. (I mean I know it wasn't some dude two weeks ago who made this discovery, but still, it's weird to me)

I guess it's just the smoking an animal thing that is so odd to me. I can't think of any other animals or parts of animals that I know of that are smoked.

That guy appears to be a Russian mobster. They have one video of his beautiful wife riding with the loris in a limousine.

Seems to me that breeding these things in captivity and removing their poison glands would help ensure the species survives. They certainly aren't doing so hot in the wild.

They're not doing so hot in the wild because humans poach the fuck out of them.......

I know they have a pretty big illegal animal trade in Russia. They also pull out the teeth of a slow loris before they sell it because they have a pretty wicked bite.

^^So? We cut our dogs balls off. Just as barbaric, but our dogs don't seem to mind in the long run.

They're failing in the wild due to lack of habitat. I can't fix that. It's already FUBARed. I could feed and breed one though.

Once again the hippies stand in the way of meaningful conservation work.

They are mainly not doing so hot in the wild because of this:

Dogs are domesticated animals. Comparing a pet dog to a wild animal on the endangered species list is laughable.

Their slow growth and reproductions wouldn't be near as big a problem if humans were removing from the wild and eating/grinding/smoking them......
