Get some Hearos High Fidelity Ear Plugs

I've tried tons and these have been by far the best value. You can get them online or at guitar center but they are only like $12 even at guitar center. I can't stand practicing or playing live without them. I usually bring them to shows I'm watching too depending on the venue.

They cut down on the volume quite a bit but actually let through a wide range of frequencies so you aren't just getting all bass like a lot of normal earplugs.

you can say earplugs are for pussies until you start playing music with someone who plays drums loud. Not some indie drummer / chord organ duo bullshit. That being said i don't wear earplugs unless i hear a band who is unusually loud and sucks. Gotta save the few years i have left of hearing for something good. If i had a 30 watt amp or something there is no way i could compete with volume levels of some of the drummers i play with...

Only time I wear them is at practice, and after years of losing nice ones (hearoes as CtA mentioned are solid) I now just tear a corner off the roll of TP we keep in our space...works like a charm

i ended up getting the etymotic research earplugs off amazon, they worked great - my ears are no worse for wear after being front and center at main stage
