I was at a friend's place earlier tonight and overheard some chick spouting off about how the earthquake caused the moon to be closer to Earth and that's why it's so much bigger tonight. I found that to be ridiculous, and I'm pretty sure I made an ass of myself when I stopped her and corrected her. I hadn't even met her yet. Oh well, she wasn't hot.

Now that I'm back home, I poked around on google and found a pretty decent article about the whole thing. She didn't even tell the wrong story correctly.
