The current one is pretty much ideal for me.

Much earlier, and I would have lived in a much more bigoted world.

Much later and I'd have missed out on the early years of the internet/information age which has been extremely profitable for me.

I kinda wish I had been born 5ish years earlier and capitalized on the tech boom a little better.

Then again, if I had been born 10ish years later information would have been much more readily available via the internet, my grade schools would have been air conditioned, my hometown would have had a skatepark, my dorm at NCSU would have been air conditioned, and wakeboard boats would have been much better than they were when I was coming up.

In the deep south just after the Civil war.

The ladies would have better appreciated dining with and bedding me knowing that I was a champion fox hunter and my family owned a vast plantation. I would have been rolling in southern belle tang. Southern bitches just don't appreciate a plantation style residence these days.




Also, growing up in this era wouldn't be so bad if I knew flying cars and hoverboards were right around the corner in 2015 like like in B2TF2. Fuck you, Michael J Fox.

I should have been born in 1925.

Be too young to really feel the weight of the Depression, join the navy, help blow up some Japs, come home to a GI bill and a wife who is ready to make the baby boom happen. By the time I'm hitting my stride in the 1950's, smoking is acceptable everywhere and two martini lunches are common.

I can hate on communists and, with luck, be on the right side of the Civil Rights movement. I'll get to vote for Reagan twice. Come to that, I'll get to vote against Carter twice. And by the time this generation comes around, I'll be old and crotchety and I'll get to yell at them about how stupid everything they like is, which I pretty do anyway but it would be more fun as a grumpy old man.
