are the calories listed on the label for the entire contents of the can/jar or is it just the post-drained contents?

example: fruit cocktail or pickles

I mean for fruit cocktail it's probably everything

for pickles, I think it would exclude the juice

so if my can of fruit cocktail has 200 calories, will it only be 150 if I drain the juice?

regardless of how many started out, there's going to be less if you drain the syrup than if you eat it

Maybe not to that extent but yes...depends on how much sugar is in it

so how about for the pickles?

technically the juice is part of the contents of the jar. so does my 400 calorie jar of bread & butter pickles become 150 if I only eat the pickles?

that's what I would have thought too

but the #1 ingredient, aside from the cucumbers, is HF corn syrup

that has loads of calories, right?

hmm, I was just thinking like real vinegar pickles, all that mess. If it has HFCS, it has calories, and I wouldn't expect it all to be in the pickles an not in the juice...

I believe you should email Famous Dave and ask him how many calories are in his pickle juice.
