And that's why you don't tailgate at 85 miles an hour, leaving only about 70 feet of space between you and the car in front of you. The driver only left little over half a second of space between him and the vehicle in front of him. Driver is a moron.

I totally had this happen to me on i-40, except it was a rock about the size of a cantelope. Came right on through the glass and was wedged between the shattered glass and dash when I finally pulled over.

It was crazy, the rock was tossed by a semi, bounced off the roof of a jeep in front of me and I swerved it at least into the passenger side instead of right at my face (I was in the left lane - no swerving to the right.) We both stopped a little ways later and were like "WTF, that was nuts."

This one might have been unavoidable, but I hate those fucks on the highway who seem incapable of scanning the road ahead of them and avoiding obvious debris. So many times I've seen people in front of me run over tire scraps and other debris only to sling it up into traffic. That stuff can mess up my car or take a motorcyclist's head off. Pay attention people.

Pull out your trust phone to record their foolishness? How about you speakerphone a phone call to State Troopers and let them handle the situation approprately. Call *47, tell them where you are, tell them who is involved (vehicle plate's, make, model, any other descriptions, what road you are on, where you are located, which direction you are headed). That's how you should handle that situation, not record it to gather "PROOF"

Besides, the drivers in this video were definitely doing at least speed limit. And there is never an excuse for tailgating or following to closely. That's just taking an unnecessary risk. The woman has no one to blame for this but herself (not because she wasn't in the kitchen where she's supposed to be, dipshit, but because she didn't allow herself appropriate spacing between herself and the vehicle in front of her). I'm glad she's okay, however, have no sympathy.
