http://www.wbir.com/news/article/164779/2/Lightning-kills-dog-sends-2-to-hospital-damages-4-homes

Quote :
"A single lightning strike killed a dog, sent two people to the hospital, and did damage to several homes in North Knoxville Monday evening.

According to the Knoxville Fire Department, they received a 911 call at 7:20 pm that lightning had struck a tree at 5209 McIntrye Road off of Spring Hill around 7:30 pm. A dog under the tree was killed.

The lightning moved from the tree to a bathroom in the home and started a fire in the walls. Firefighters removed the siding from the home to extinguish the blaze.

People in three nearby homes also called 911, saying their homes had been struck by lightning, one reporting her house was filling with smoke, another reporting a man had been injured by lightning, and the third saying a woman had also been injured by lightning. Both of those people were concious and breathing when they were transported to the hospital for treatment.

At the home across the street from 5209, the injured man was leaning against a metal pole in the basement. Family members said the man felt the lighting and fell to the floor with burn marks on his foot.

The Knoxville Fire Department says lightning will travel the path of least resistance, whether it be through water or conductive wiring, and that's why it is always advised to stay away from bathtubs, sinks, phones, or any electrical devices during a storm.

The American Red Cross has been notified and will help with the family's needs."

I was wondering that too, it should have stopped at the dead dog but no it went through four houses, 2 people, a bathroom, etc.

Must've been a fucking powerful bolt.
