A month ago I took my dog to be put to sleep...and I simply can't say enough about this Place (Oberlin).

They were very professional and understanding, and haven't done enough. Today I got a letter to say the SPCA recieved a donation in the name of Meaty from the Hospital. They also sent me a card with all their staff signing it with their condolances, and a little card with the pawprints of Meatstick.

Seriously, awesome place...if I ever get a dog again I'd take them here in a heartbeat!

Had you gotten other services done there as well? How are their prices? I like my current vet but they're too expensive.

Care first is great, they are very nice...but they are also extremely pricey.

We take our dog to care first off Falls of the Neuse. We have also been impressed with them.

glad we found an equally good vet that costs less than half as much.

Any vet is going to be super nice to a new client coming in for euthanasia. It's the easiest way to get them to come back and drop $texas on the new puppy/kitten shots and getting them fixed.

i adore care first.

a lot of our animals have certain reoccuring infections (penny-eye, carter-skin, lebron james-ear) and we dont even have to make appointments to get them checked out anymore.
we just call, leave a message with the staff up front and 9/10 times theyll just refill the prescription that we need.

i have never been able to do that anywhere else. (im sure there are other places that do though, ive just never been to them)

All I can say is NEVER go to the Specialty Vet in Greensboro. Dr. Lu messed up big time on my pup for a simple procedure and charge me for all of her mistakes

While I really love CareFirst, I'm also open to other alternatives that have good service and aren't as pricey. Would you be willing to post the name of this vet (or PM me)?

I've used CareFirst for the past few years with our cats and they've always done a good job. In fact I had to bring one of our cats in for an emergency visit a few Saturdays ago and I thought the service was exceptional.

I've been taking my dog to Care First on Oberlin for years and love the place. However they are a little pricy. About $220 for an annual physical and the one time Bomber got really sick it was $500+

+1 for care first. Maybe it's a little more expensive then some of the alternatives but I haven't found anywhere that measured up to it.

We use Wellington Animal Hospital on Tryon Road. Not far from campus for those of you who still attend NCSU. They are equally nice and do good work, but tend to be far cheaper than Care First. (I have experience with care first also)

We have been using Oberlin for around 15 years. When we put down one of the dogs a month or two ago, they sent flowers. They have always been great with the dogs.
