I work for Aspen Contracting Inc. we are the largest residential roofing contractor and storm restoration contractor in the US. Due to the hail storms in Charlotte that have damaged over 90,000 homes, the company has relocated me to take over operations of our Gastonia office. Position does not involve selling roofing, siding, or gutters but our free service to facilitate the insurance claims process so that the homeowners policy covers all damages.

This is a commission based position with paid/active training. Real potential is in the $50-$70k range with top producers higher and lazy workers far less. W2 position with full benefits including medical, dental, long/short term disability, workers comp, 401k.

Shoot me a pm if you are interested and I will fill you in on all details.

It is straight commission from jump and the training entails a couple of hours of classroom and then field training with a senior rep in the field. The paid training is $350 per week while you are on the initial 30 day learning curve to cover gas and basic expenses, Once this period is complete reps are given the opportunity to work on straight commission with no base or for those that excel, take on a trainers role with up to a $1050 a week base.

With a market like there is in Charlotte right now, brand new reps are still generating significant sales in their first couple day flying solo.

Yeah- As far as the storm restoration industry goes, the amount of damaging storm this year is unprecedented. Great opportunity to make some unbelievable commissions while helping people rebuild. If this is any indication of the way the weather patterns are going to be then this hurricane season could get interesting.

So you would basically be going to people's houses that have been damaged by storms, and talking them into letting your company file the claim and do the repair work?

Doesn't sound shady or anything (I realize you said you were the largest residential roofing contractor and storm restoration contractor in the US), but I remember reading that scams involving homeowner's (and auto) insurance claims usually begin with someone coming to your door and saying "this should be covered by your insurance, let us file a claim for your and we'll do the work, no cost to you."

^^^ The industry is FULL of scam artists but the insurance companies are cracking down pretty hard on it. Charlotte is kind of a funny market in that it was hit so hard that people have windows broken, leaks, cars smashed up, etc. We have a real working relationship with the insurance companies and have pilot programs out west where we actually work as the adjustors for 2 seperate insurance companies.

Essentially we go into a neighborhood, provide a thorough inspection and create a file that is faxed into the insurance carrier before they ever even come out to inspect the property. Assuming that the adjusotor pays for replacement, our crews will come out and replace all of the storm damaged items with zero downpayment/deposit and then submit invoice to the insurance company for final payment. The homeowner is responsible for paying their deductible.

The "scam" ran by some companies is telling homeowners that there is no out of pocket expense which is essentially insurance fraud, and companies who only fix select items but final invoice for all the money. Those guys are getting steam rolled by the big ten insurance companies over the last year or so.

Google American Shingle. This sounds like the same scam. I don't think you are allowed to helpmfile claims. American Shingle execs are now all in jail.

^^ American Shingle actually filed claims without homeowners knowing and created damage. They belonged in jail.

^ Read the actual thread from start to finish.Any negative posts were predominantly homeowners bitching because Aspen wouldn't pay their deductibles which is in fact illegal. Pull up our BBB page- over 100,000 roofs built in 6 years and only 13complaints with the BBB. Pretty decent ratiov
