It's pretty common knowledge that hockey playoffs are by far the best in sport, relative to the regular season, no?

Well they just signed a $2 billion television deal with NBC. Total revenue for this season is expected to be around $3 billion.

Doesn't the NBA lose money? Isn't that why the owners are basically forcing a lockout coming?

Since the Canes aren't in, I haven't watched as much as I usually do. But, their AHL affiliate in Charlotte is still alive in their playoffs, and have home games next Monday and Wednesday (next Friday as well if necessary). I'll definitely be heading to a game.

i want to believe that yall niggas posting in a troll thread, but i have to believe ncstatetke and nym410 would choose to watch april baseball and terrible nba playoff games over hockey, even if it were the hurricanes in a game 7 OT thriller.

hockey is the only sport worth watching and playoff hockey is its peak. If you have an HD tv for anything other than watching hockey, you got scammed.

NHL playoffs are awesome. I love it.

The NBA playoffs are kinda meh for me. I am interested, but I haven't watched a full game yet. I also don't have a favorite team in the NBA, so I'm a much more casual fan.

^^^29/660 or so players in the league are black, or around 4.39%.

2.5% of Canada is black
12.9% of the United States is black
Under 1% of Sweden, Czech Republic, Russia, and Finland is black.

So, I really don't think the NHL is doing THAT bad given where its players come from, but of course it would be good if they could generate more interest amongst blacks.
