I do this like once a month and love love love it. would play more if people were down.

Catchphrase, Scategories, Apples to Apples, and a couple of Adult Version of games (I can't remember the name off the top of my head) are all classics... we just played a new one not too long ago that was kinda like trivial pursuit meets sorry and that was real fun (elkaybie, piddlebug, LivinProof78, and saps852 were all there for that one so maybe one of them knows)

I played Forbidden Island on Easter, a Coop game against the board. Do not like we all lost and drowned.

But no I wish I could play board games more.

I love game nights. I haven't had one in a long time. This reminds me that my brother got me Shadows over Camelot that I haven't played yet. And I can kick some ass at Taboo/Catchphrase.

I actually have taboo in the trunk of my car, bought it on clearance at wal-mart.

Played it only once, it was a little too complicated with too many rules to encourage a night of fun and laughter, IIRC.

I always start out planning to play it cool on game night. But I get so happy when I win, and it's not on purpose, but it ends up as total gloating, or a bit of a sore loser situation if I don't win.

That's why Christmastime game nights with the family work well for me. There's like a whole year for everybody to forget what an asshole I am.

How are you guys at game night sportsmanship?

Played apples to apples tonight with 8 people.

We disregarded the whole "4 green cards to win" rule and just played until we got through all 756 red cards.

Winner ended up with 26 green cards.
