It is a dreary Thursday night. After a long day at the Blood Shop, I come to the den. I remove the uniform. The bathtub needs cleaning. I start the hot water. Not even the scalding water can wash away the darkness in my soul. I put on dry cloth.

But now, my stomach rages. I go to the kitchen. I open the freezer.
Nothing. The meat is expired. But the rancid odor howls my name.

I hunger. So, I called him up for dinner. He came over, and we dare discuss places to eat. I become outraged. He is erect, but not withholding. I stare into his eyes. He stares into mine. It hardens.



It happens. Many delightful screams. I clean the mess up. He is gone. The refuge of sadness is quickly replaced by satisfaction.



The next day at the Shop, I bring leftovers for lunch. He is back, but now, not erect and certainly not withholding. Hours pass. I am putrid and must be cleansed. I take a break.

I sit upon the cold, porcelain throne. Once again, I contemplate the darkness in my soul. He comes out in flesh and sinew, bonded to my foul vestiges. It is painful.
