As for the cupcakes, a couple people at work said they were good. I had one when I got home and was disappointed in them - so the people I work with either didn't want to hurt my feelings, didn't want to cause office tension, or just have funny tastebuds.

Moving on to the next adventure...any suggestions on what to bake next?

Ok, so I made chocolate cranberry chunk cookies


dry ingredients

mixing wet and dry ingredients

mmmm cocoa powder

and of course halfway thru mixing, my hand mixer blew - started smoking and everything. had to finish by hand no baking for awhile i guess...need to buy a new one.
