Honestly, this gives the President all the political cover he needs to begin a withdrawal from Afghanistan. With us out of Iraq by Dec 31st (barring an unlikely renegotiation of the SOFA) and with a legitimate withdrawal from Afg a very real possibility, Monday begins a very new world for DoD.
