This girl at work is off her rockers. First of all she doesn't do shit (technically she has a different job title but we all do the same thing). All she does is bitch allll fucking day and meander around her objectives. Finally at work today she goes "Its such bullshit that i get paid less, thats why i don't feel like working" So in my infinite wisdom with the ladies I reply "I'm all for you getting paid more but i'm not holding the door for you, and you better not pretend like any dude is going to pay for your food"

If that was the case, everyone would be suing everyone in the workplace these days haha.

Most companies don't make title changes unless there are major changes in responsibility. If it is even remotely the same and the new duties don't really warrant a promotion/demotion, most people don't change titles. And then within those titles is generally very large salary ranges that allow for lots of stuff within there like merit, range of responsibility within that role, length of time in that role/with the company, extra merits (certifications, licenses, unique assets). Heck half the time the salary ranges overlap such that it is possible JobTitle II could make more than someone with JobTitle III given the right circumstances.

Women and children first off the boat.
Men get drafted into war.
Men are stronger.
Men ain't bitches ... relevant because bitches be crazy.
Men don't take off 3 months to pop out a baby.
Men don't take off 6 years to raise their babies, and then go back to work expecting to make the same.
Men don't get all pissy once a month, causing drama in the workplace.

at my work the strong dudes carry the heavy shit.

then when we have to fix the instruments where everything is in a damn tiny hole where their muscle arms won't fit I do all the shenanigans.

we get paid equal and we are equally necessary to the work...of course as grad students we are all broke so i'm not sure it matters
