It's a speech.... not a book, not an essay.......a fucking speech. He's not making money from it and it isn't being turned in for credit for a class. He should have given credit to the person, but he didn't. So what...

He ran it past the original dude and that guy said he told him it was OK, and supposedly Mitchum was going to credit him in the speech and just got flummoxed. I can believe that.

Even if he didn't give him credit during the speech, there would be no need to apologize because the original guy knew his ideas would be used. If anything, the original author should thank him for all the free publicity.

was it really that much of a challenge to come up with his own speech? i despise speeches that are read off of a piece of paper anyway unless it's something like a funeral where someone really might be too distraught to keep their thoughts in order.. just seems cheap and artificial to stand up in front of people and read
