Do you guys know any off road tracks around Raleigh (other than cape fear raceway) ?

Youre pretty much SOL. Cape fear is the only true off road track around. There's an indoor off road track in Greensboro that's mainly 1/10th scale.

What do you have? You plan on racing or just want to run some laps?

I am new to electric off road so I bought a cheap SC truck, I used to have 1/10 on road nitro. I am looking to run some laps and see how it feels. Maybe racing later with a more serious truck. I just did not wanted to invest too much up front.
do you know the rules of Cape Fear for starters like me ? I emailed them did not get anything back.

Well, I havent raced there since about November...but they have a few different SCT classes you can race in. (2wd, 4wd)...and I think they have stock/mod classes as well.

They have the class definitions on the site under the "racing info".

You'll need a personal transponder to race.

You'll also want to bring a pop up tent/tables or something because there's NO shade out there.
