i once tried to write a cover letter using an anecdotal story from my youth to demonstrate how i have always been a go getter business opportunist. then i realized that there was no way to make "i used to sell rocks" sound good in a cover letter.

i did used to sell rocks, though. quartzy looking ones that i found in the yard and broke open on my driveway (big ass ones. i would spend HOURS digging one up). then i would sell them to my neighbors for garden ornaments.

i tried to sell my brother once, too - as an add on gift with one of the rocks. yyyeaaa. people don't take kindly to selling children around these parts.
