First off I got an awesome raise yesterday but now I have to get super friendly with Access. If you have a book recommendation on programming this beast or website that would be awesome.

Second is I need a way to save annotations to PDF's. I used to have this program that I can't seem to find any more - it was like ghost view or something that could read in the PDF, and you could draw all over it and save it back to PDF. This functionality (without creating additional files - the annotations are saving into the PDF) is critical. Ideas?

IMO the OP was looking for GSView: http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/
First install GPL GhostScript, available from a link within that link.

As for books about programming in Access, consider http://avaxhome.ws/
