Downloading movies is typically a violation of copyrights and could lead to you being sued for several thousand dollars. However, people are rarely caught. If you want to play it safe, don't download movies. On the other hand, your visa will probably be expired and you'll be out of the country before any litigation could get started. 6/20/2011 11:18:37 PM |

Assuming this isn't a joke thread, yes, it's generally illegal to download movies without paying for them. It's unlikely that you'll get caught, but it could be a pain in the ass if you do.
Generally, in America, if you're supposed to pay for something (movies, music, software) but you can find it online instead of paying for it, that's probably illegal. Lots of people (most people?) do it, but it is illegal.
You can get Netflix for $8 a month (or more, if you want to get stuff on DVD or Blu-ray) which has a pretty huge selection. You can watch stuff for free on Hulu, or get Hulu Plus for I think eight or nine bucks a month. There are lots of legal means to watch movies for a decent price online. 6/21/2011 12:59:58 AM |

P.S.: I saw where you're coming from, shoot, and at least in America you don't have to run that Tor node just to access the uncensored Web. 6/21/2011 6:25:31 AM |

FYI, you can get a whole free month of Hulu Plus if you sign up with an .edu email address.6/21/2011 11:02:11 AM |
