Fort Bragg officials also conducted a controlled burn on Monday, and there was a fire late Monday near the Bladen-Cumberland county line that also might have added to the smoky conditions, officials said."

just stepped outside downtown raleigh and it was like a war zone. i wouldnt recommend going outside today, you will be putting your health at risk.

Here at the vet school there's a heavy cloud of smoke hanging over the pastures, and I can barely see down to the pond. Usually if I stand on the east side of the building I can see the downtown skyline--that's completely out of the question today.
