One of three "bean-to-bar" chocolatiers in the nation, and it's right here in Raleigh. Plus, it's delicious.

Le Whif Triple Pack Chocolate Assortment

Quote :
"Le Whif is an amazing way to inhale the taste of chocolate and various other sweet and gooey things without putting on a single pound. Simply crack open one of these tiny tubes of tempting tastiness and suck away! A light film of flavour will coat the inside of your mouth (it's non-toxic, obviously) and delight your tastebuds, just as if you'd had a nibble of something sweet.
No calories, no pesky wrappers to fumble with, and a delicious range of flavours, these are perfect little items to carry around for those moments when you fancy "just a taste". This mixed pack has three flavours - chocolate with raspberry, plain old chocolate and chocolate with mint. So stick one in your bag when you're on the go, and answer those sweet-tooth cravings whenever you like. Whif away!

Features:

A pack of three tubes of pure flavour… Le Whif!
Open one up, suck on it and prepare for a flavour sensation.
Mixed flavour pack - chocolate/raspberry, chocolate, chocolate/mint.
Made from organic ingredients.
Each tube should give you about 8 individual whiffs.
Total mass of powder in one tube: 300 milligrams.
Suitable for ages 4 years +."

Yesterday at the Meat House in Chapel Hill, I picked up chocolate mint creamed honey (made by some farmer in Chapel Hill). That stuff is extraordinary on ice cream.

Discovery today: Oreo Truffles
Oreos turned into crumbed, mixed with cream cheese, rolled into truffle sized balls then dipped in chocolate, then put in the freezer for a few minutes.
It's like easy chocolate cheesecake, it's so amazing!

Tried to find this the other day and couldn't

It's super easy. This is the recipe I use most often:

3 bars dark chocolate of your choice
5.5 tablespoons heavy cream
1.5 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2 teaspoons brandy or mint extract or whatever
cocoa powder for dusting

1) In a medium size bowl, break chocolate into little bits
2) In a pot, heat cream until just before boiling.
3) Pour cream over chocolate and whisk until smooth. If cream cools before all the chocolate melts, you can place the bowl in a pot of hot water to further soften the chocolate.
4) Mix butter and flavoring into chocolate
5) Pour mix onto a baking pan covered in parchment paper and allow to cool for at least one hour
6) Cut into squares and roll in cocoa powder.
7) Devour

So do you use it as a coating for anything or just to nom in bar form?
That recipe sounds delish, I'll have to try it. Thanks so much!

Just eat it by itself, although I've used it between cake layers before too.
