You know it's been ages since you've used it. I'm making pizza tonight and will put it to good use. $5?

I used to use a 16" stepping stone, patio stone, whatever you want to call it that I bought from Lowes for like $3.

^^Those are glazed. I asked the guy in the tile department and he said they don't stock unglazed, but could order it. I even asked about that particular tile and he said they had it but it was glazed with a "matte finish", though im looking at the descrip. online and it says unglazed. Home depot was the same. Someone else told me to make sure it's unglazed. Thoughts?

Edit: I dont think the guy at Lowes knew what he was talking about. I'll go back and pick up one of these and try it out.

It's gotta be unglazed. Any glaze on the tile might not be food safe, and it won't cook the dough right, because it's not porous.

I've got an actual pizza stone and I leave it in the oven all the time, bottom rack. It's great for baking bread, and it helps to regulate your oven temp when you're cooking whatever.

You put your bread right on it instead of in bread pans? What temp? Do you have to change the recipe at all? I think the tile in the link is unglazed, it says so. But the guys at Lowes wasn't sure... :/

That's my guess. If you want to be double sure you could order online.
