farmers'

were it "farmer's" that would imply the market belongs to one farmer.

Skwinkle and I had this same discussion when we went to the Farmers Market Restaurant. She said it is Farmers, not Farmer's or Farmers' because it's not possessive or something.

it's a market of farmers

I think "farmers" or "farmer's" are both correct depending on the setup of said market.

I mean

You could interpret it as a market for the farmer, not the market of a farmer. Reader's Digest isn't a digest owned and operated by a single reader.

The majority of "farmers" there are just shills from Monsanto.

but it, for lack of a better word, "belongs" to each reader...as in "Digest, for [you,], the reader".

Likewise, possessive in this sense doesn't imply legal ownership. My vote is for "Farmers' Market", although a case could be made for any of the three.

Speaking of which, do they still make Five Alive? I haven't seen that stuff in a while.

not, sure. The line was so long, they were moving folks in and out like cattle.

Best investment of the day...I've kept the big cup with the fruit in it. Refilled it with water like 4 times. Lightly flavored fruit water ftw.

Farmers'

In aggregate the farmers sell their produce to the public at a central location

The farmers are doing the trading and purchased the space so it does imply some degree of possession
