Have you had it? Would you get it? Do you judge people who've had work done?

Ladies, after having ten kids, would you consider vaginal reconstructive surgery, a tummy tuck and a breast lift? Men, would you consider getting hair implants if you were balding?

If you get Botox or Juvaderm, have you really had any work done?

i think i would like a chinplant

or something like that. i would like a little less round of a face and a little stronger bone structure so like some sort of jaw line or a chinplant is probably what i'd want

BUT

i'd probably never do any sort of cosmetic surgery because i don't really feel the need to put my body through those types of procedures (i mean having your kidney removed because it is killing you is one thing but having silicone inserted into you is another) and put foreign materials permanently in my body. its just not for me.

do i judge people who do it? no. well i lied, i judge the ones that do it excessively and have like 823492834 procedures. but those people never look good anyway. but no if someone gets a boob job, or hair implants or whatever, no i'm not like "what a terrible person." i don't really think anything of it. well, except for boob jobs i think "OHH NEAT LET ME TOUCH/SEE"

I don't want it, but I'm not going to lie and say I would be too proud to get a breast lift if for some reason I ever need a breast reduction (but I don't see that happening)

I only judge people when they are severely addicted to it... and even then, I'm not sure "judge" would be the right word. More like, I feel bad for them having such bad self esteem :\

Case in point:

The only thing I considered is when I am done having kids I plan on getting a breast lift. Get the girls back up where they belong. But not adding more or anything like that. I have enough as it is

Apparently, Jenna Jameson had vaginal reconstructive surgery that was seriously botched and ruined her career. Sounds horrendous. What the heck did they do? Give her a scrotum?

Either hair implants are incredibly successful or incredibly unsuccessful.

Why? Because I can't tell the difference between people who have and haven't gotten it done.

Unless you told me they got it done, I wouldn't know... and I don't know anyone in real life that's got it done. Only see the people on TV

I can't imagine myself ever getting cosmetic surgery (short of needing it after an accident or burn), but I'm completely cool and nonjudgmental with others doing it. I mean anything can get excessive if you do it too much, but people spend tons of time and money on a life time of haircuts, clothes, makeup, lotions, whitening toothpastes, waxes, tanning salons, jewelry, braces, and so many other cosmetic corrections that I don't see why this one should be especially different. On the other hand, I don't like the thought of people feeling they have to go through surgery to meet some unrealistic standard of beauty, but as long as its a well thought out decision that they can afford, more power to them.

I am prob going to do a dermabrasion treatment at some point soon.

I have thought about a breast lift and I had thought about breast reduction surgery in my early twenties but I don't think I am going to do either.

I thought about doing something for my stomach but Ken got mad at that. It doesn't look that bad but it doesn't look like it did before having kids. I do think if I work really hard and eat correctly, I will be happy with it.

I'm totally getting a boob lift later in life. My boobs are big and gravity/time will not be good to them. Especially if I have kids as the whole milk coming/going thing will also affect them and probably not in a good way.

and if I had a giant baby that wrecked my vagina to all fucking hell, you bet your sweet ass I'd get a vaginal reconstruction. it'd be super for my so/husband/whatever to actually enjoy putting his penis inside of me and stuff. just sayin.

as for judging others. not really. wtf do I care. not my body. if something bothers you enough that you are happier getting it fixed then super for you. Though i do think most of the "issues" are just self esteem bullshit that require therapy rather than surgery.

I dont' think I could ever to face stuff though. like face lifts and botox and all that. I communicate a lot through facial expressions. I wouldnt be me without being able to move my damn face

the only time I would support a woman getting breast implants would be if they were breast cancer survivors and they wanted to look the same as they did before

when they lay on their back and the things just stand straight up, it just looks bad lol

i have probably one of the least symmetrical faces ever but i'm cool with it.

i don't understand vanity to the point of body modification.

Every surgery is a risk, after the first one, you're pretty much going to have to lock in a maintenance plan because if you don't aged plastic surgery looks horrible. If you don't believe me go to south park mall.

I really think its a terrible idea.

Have not, would only get it to fix a problem I haven't had yet (accident damage). I would consider hair replacement I suppose, because I'm pretty sure I'd look stupid bald and I don't like wearing hats. Would I judge someone else? See the wtf thread, I hate it when beauty is destroyed. I'd be more likely to think of someone differently, yes, but for the most part it's your body. If you can tell something was done it probably shouldn't have happened.

I've had otoplasty -- setting my protruding ears closer to my head. I did not make the decision, but my mother chose to have it done to me when I was a toddler.

I think that cosmetic surgery promotes a negative self image. I don't think that people should look for things that they consider flaws that need to be corrected. My mother 'fixed' what she thought was 'wrong' with my appearance. I think that sends the wrong message.

That said, I believe that cosmetic surgery has its place. My husband has had reduction surgery on his surgical scar from his cleft lip. My son will likely decide to have the appearance of his nose refined because of the asymmetry from his own cleft lip. I would also consider having a breast reduction and lift in the future.

I too have debated this... but not for cosmetic reason, more for comfort reasons. Insurance can help sometimes and my GYN already said she would write up a recommendation for it. Even my parents have offered to help pay for it lol

BUT

The husband does not approve.

I'd consider getting the following:

Lipo in some spots
Botox on my forehead
Breast lift/enhancement after I have kids

^ Agreed. Back probs are no joke!

hats off to you if your insurance will cover it. i had a friend in college who wanted this done and she went to multiple doctors per her insurance's request to make sure her back problems were being caused by having large breasts. her insurance told her she was denied coverage to get the surgery done but they would pay for her prescription pain killers to help with the pain.

you know you don't have to have them taken completely off to have them reduced...

I've actually seen them look better when they were done then they did before.
The husband jokes that he made her take a representative phallus with her to make sure it would still fit nicely.

I like the way my face looks, so I won't fuck with that, except for a few moles I want to have removed.

I can't think of anything surgical I'd do to my body to make it any better. I guess maybe boob lifts when I get older, but I doubt even that.
