I feel like a whole new world of restaurants have opened up to me now that I'm working in Durham. I need to control myself so I don't become a total broke fattie

Fan.
Fucking.
Tastic.

That's where I came in here to post. One of my favorite places downtown--everything I've had there has been delicious! The portions can be a bit small, depending on what you get, is my only complaint. But still. Go, eat, be impressed.

I remember seeing that shit when we were at goodberry's. Cars were wrapped around the building and through the parking lot for the drive-thru.

Interestingly enough, the old chef at the Federal left about 6 months ago. The new guy is decent, but the specials just aren't as good anymore (with the exception of the fried chicken).

I went to Bali Hai two weeks ago, it's pretty good. I'd never been to anything like it before, so it was a little interesting. It's a Mongoloian Grill, you put what you want to eat in a bowl, choose a kind of curry, and they stir fry it for you and bring it out with bottomless rice bowls.

yeah, I went there last Saturday. I fucking love the joint. I really like how they left it mostly looking like an old school gas station on the outside.

will be going back this weekend probably.

meh...I had good food there but their bakery is very bland...and the frosting tastes like you're eating straight crisco

So I hit up Parker & Otis today. Spent way too much money. Got the Blue Cheese & Green Apple Chicken Salad sammich. YUM! And a carrot cake cupcake. DOUBLE YUM!

I also got some Tyrell's chips to take home because I can't find them anywhere else!

I did get my dog a new leash while I was there

this thread makes me jealous that i work in south durham and not downtown

besides south point chain restaurants, the only good stuff we have is Meridian Cafe and Akashi.
