I don't know if I buy that all interbreeding took place in the middle east. It doesn't make sense to me that a bunch of halflings would interbreed in the ME and not mix it up any when they got to Europe, where other Neanderthals lived.

I wonder how much admixture there was. Even if admixture was slight, it is a very telling tale of racial differences and how they diverged relatively quickly.

The genome drifts but does not respect political boundaries. The aggregate flow of genetic features knows no boundaries.

The same DNA just gets a different label with respect to political or religious borders.

You get a genetic gradient with certain facial features/builds etc. that will be moving with respect to general areas where certain people live and choose to self identify. You don't magically become one person or the other because you magically jumped over a political nominal tripwire 10 meters away.

This argument is retarded considering theres no such thing as definable race anyway. No "race" completely shares any single gene and no "race" completely lacks any single gene. Race is a social/political construct and nothing more than a means of grouping people with similar skin tones and hair textures. Eye color much more of a polygentic trait and would be a better way of identifying genetic relation but people would think you were nuts if you used that for "race".

Race as a concept is very backwards.
