I've come up with a theory that everyone who thinks that being gay is a choice is bisexual. If they were fully straight or gay, then they would know what it feels like to have real biological, primal, attraction to a certain gender and thus would understand that it's just not something that can be changed.

I've been trying to work this into pickup lines for liberal chicks.

You're totally right, they probably do. But at least it would make sense to me that they could put aside attraction to one and be satisfied with the other. I don't know though, maybe there are some Bi people who start craving the other flavor after they've been with one gender for too long. That doesn't sound good for monogamy though, lol. Generally I take monogamy (or at least the pretense of it) to be an assumed when Christian people start talking about marriage.

I don't see any judgement in saying "marriage is one man, one woman." Call me crazy, but I don't see it. I also don't see any judgement in saying "God does not approve of X" when the Bible clearly says "God does not approve of X".

One day people will learn to leave religion and god out of it. Now nature itself has done a nice job of making it obvious that men were intended to be with women at least on a biological scale. Marriage was something invented by people and I believe originally intended for simply a man and woman. However, with how many laws that have been put in place surrounding marriage and the benefits that come with those laws I understand the reasoning behind gay marriage now. If you chose to live your life with someone of the same sex the same as you would someone of the opposite sex should you not be entitled to the same benefits that a married couple is able to have?

^ This is why conservatives were always doomed to loose the issue. The only civil argument to keep marriage exclusive is to say that it is a religious institution. So great! That means the state shouldn't have anything to say about marriage, including the legal benefits that come with it.
