One time this chick asked if I wanted to try some home made cocoa butter. Shit is nasty as hell. Then she told me you're supposed to just rub it on your hands and elbows and you don't actually eat it. WTF?????
Why would you hand somebody a zip lock bag of something that has "cocoa" and "butter" in the name and act surprised when they eat it?

George Washington Carver original.
Often mistaken for his unsightly brother, the true culinary botanical genius would be responsible for introducing this prolific legume into the daily cuisine. He deserves enormous respect for the American influence he held as the first president of peanut butter. Unfortunately it was his brother Ben who would ultimately be memorialized on the box of rice as a fixture in American homes. George, we'll never forget.
Also heard his wife Jemimah is a complete fucking bitch. That's a different story.

i would be very surprised to find out that this peanut butter has a lower level of saturated ("bad") fat but the same level of unsaturated ("good") fat as regular peanut butter...with a fat profile about the same as olive oil (and a good potassium-to-sodium ratio if getting unsalted), peanut butter is comparatively good for you
without looking it up, i'm betting that a big part of lower calories come from a lower fat content, including lower unsaturated fats
your best bet is to get "regular" unsalted or reduced salt peanut butter with reduced sugar7/26/2011 7:44:58 AM |

From a weight-watchers standpoint, a tablespoon of that PB is less points than Peter Pan. That's what I was referencing... i was getting a pudge and went on weight watchers to drop from 186 to 160

well, it IS edible, and can be consumed... what do you think chocolate contains? cocoa butter, of course. 2 notes, though:
1) raw cocoa butter has an unpalatable odor and smell, and in chocolate, they add deodorized cocoa butter. the raw one though, is edible.
2) although cocoa butter is high in saturated fat, it is actually good for you. studies have shown it can improve blood cholesterol profile, and can even make you lose weight. not all saturated fats are equal. saturated fats from animal products are very different from saturated fats from plants (coconut, cocoa, palm, etc).
GIS "natural peanut butter" and y'all will see many many brands... it would be interesting (and expensive) to try them all out!
These look awesome: http://www.justinsnutbutter.com/products.php
As do these, especially the one in the middle:
