"WASHINGTON (CNNMoney) -- Some students will start owing more on their loans while they're in school under a last-minute debt ceiling deal to keep the country out of default and reduce deficits by at least $2.1 trillion over a decade.

As part of the savings to trim the deficits, Congress would scrap a special kind of federal loan for graduate students. So-called subsidized student loans don't charge students any interest on the principal of student loans until six months after students graduated.

I hope some of you are teabagger grad students.

Heres a good idea.

Under the debt plan the USA will cut off all foreign aid.

Teabagger Grad students get discounts on their tuition anyway because the teabagger mentality encourages excellence in performance and a non-socialist society where American exceptionalism is financially rewarded.

Meanwhile douchebag foodstampers want to send a welfare check to everyone on the block.

Listen guys this is a drop in the bucket. They're at 1.5T deficit for the year and need to at least cut 750 billion by the end of the year.

Either way, they've deferred the real pain to a calendar date that is least damaging to the election cycle. Now they're hedging the bets on the long-term memory of the electorate.

Wow. Making people pay for loans like the rest of us do. How horrible!

^Having an educated populace benefits society and making it easier for someone to get a loan for education should be a priority.

Or, do you believe only well off people should get an education?

I think this is a good idea. People that aren't paying out of their pockets for their education might not take it as seriously as those that are. I know I didn't start to take school seriously until I was paying for it myself.

Having the government subsidize loans drives the cost up of education for everyone. So, if you're the unlucky one that doesn't qualify for 0% loans and grants because your parents make just enough or for any other combination of factors the government deems not loan worthy then you get stuck having to break your back to get an education.

If you're too dumb to be able to pay for college, you shouldn't be in college... or something...
