jesus that video is insane. Wouldn't the lightning in the background be a hint to gtfo? esp w/ all that metal and electronics? plus there was a warning issued at the time.

fucked up. pure panic mode.

shitty way to die

sad too

It looked like people were generally filing out before the collapse.

Afterwards, dudes were jumping handrails to flee an already-done collapse 100 yards away.

[Edited on August 14, 2011 at 9:38 PM. Reason : Now I wonder about the ratings and loadings and what-not for a structure like that.]

^^^yeah, I don't get the people running away after it fell. I would probably be part of the minority running in to help afterwards.

^Looked like one of the flavors of straight-line winds.

It's worse than that. The collapse happened between Sara Bareilles and Sugarland. It's one thing to die during suck, it's another thing to die during suck x2.

It looked like the cameraman and others close by were all on some kind of bleacher structure that had the possibility of collapsing too. I'd probably panic and flee too after witnessing the stage collapse.

the doors of the 21st century was a surprisingly good show i don't know if this was cause i wasn't expecting much or what.

After that, i'd go with...

Flogging Molly definitely does a good show i've received more than a few free beers from david king. That and people trying to river dance in the pit is pretty awesome too.

Nine Inch Nails was consistently awesome, if Trent changes his mind and decides to tour some more that's my vote. I'll also plus one the Offspring, Billy Joel and 2 Skinnee J's for good times. Kind of hard for me to narrow it down though, personally. I loves some live music

^x6 It was going to be killer but he went and did that duet. It didn't turn out to well. He even lost what surely was once his biggest fan.

Best show I ever saw was Flaming Lips in 2000.

They broadcast the high end of the mix through FM headphones that they gave to everyone in the crowd.

Add chest-mounted strobe lights, fake blood, naked people, bunny suits, and confetti...it ruled.
