Let's take this discussion offline and circle the wagons to engage in some blue sky thinking to determine if a paradigm shift is warranted. We'll have a deliverable by COB Today.

^^^ lol. since i work with some really medically verbalized people (mostly doctors), they forget that no one knows what in the hell they're talking about in terms of medical jargon and will go on and on and on about stuff. the project leader will try to be like, "okkkkkay let's take this offline" and the person keeps going and going. when i had to take meeting minutes, i would just not even try and email the person later and be like, "yo can you hit me up with a summary with what you went on a ramble-page on?"

"business as usual" I think they have to say that at least 5 times in every training/webinar.

I thought that "synergy" went out 5 years ago and was replaced with "innovation".

There's this one project manager who's "the cool guy with the sports cars."
He started saying "Why don't you take swag at it and tell me the results?"

Now all his little buddies say that shit..."Take a swag at it." "Give a it swag." "Go for a swag and get back to me."

Everytime I hear that word I'm all

push back and ping are also frequently used here

actually pinging is called spark, "I'll spark you later about it"

ping doesn't bother me, and I'm guilty of using it, but given that the ICMP ping is kind of ingrained in what we do here, it's at least relevant.

'Lean forward'

I hate this shit, every time we get caught up and seem to be in a chance to take it easy, we have to lean so far forward that it actually becomes detrimental

I think it's nice that they make it known they're gone instead of the whole dept looking for them in vain.

I cant believe it took so long to post this. I hate it so much when people say this.

I got called out one time for telling a co-worker based in the UK that I would "shoot" them an email. Apparently we are the only culture that says that.
